blogging is not a crime born dead
Hi everybody,
I’ve changed my life 1 month ago. I’ve changed my job, I’ve changed the place where I live.
So, saddly, I haven’t got enought time to make Bloggingisnotacrime the blog I would like, so in the next few week I gonna change the rss feed and I think it gonna deeply change, I think it gonna be my personal lifestyle blog.
It’s also the last post in english.
Thanks for every one who’s follow this blog and whose helped me to make it works.
You can find me on my others blogs :
Watzatsong : the singing community [music2.0]

Watzatsong is a french startup which offers one thing, helping you find the song you have in your head since 2 weeks. Watzatsong doesn’t offer a new hightech search engine but a community.
How it works, it’s easy… just read the first line on the mainpage :
What’s that song?
Do you have a song stuck in your head but wonder “what’s that song”? Record a short sample of the tune online anonymously on WatZatSong. The WatZatSong Community will listen and tell you what song it is!
As a member you can be helped but you can also try to find songs people submit everyday.
Watzatsong just won TechCrunch Pitch! in London last month.
Here the video of Raphaël Arbuz co-founder of the website :
Applications for Seedcamp 2008 are open!
We’re now ready to accept applications for Seedcamp Week 2008, have
opened the gates to our online application system, and are anticipating
another great pool of entries.
For additional information, and to review the questions prior to applying, you may download our 2008 application guide. We’ve also posted milestones on our key dates page.
We encourage you to think through each question carefully and also to apply well before the August 10th deadline. You really don’t want to be trying to submit the application at 11:59pm with 100 other people!
As noted before Seedcamp Week is set for September 15-18 2008 in Central London at UCL.
ps : Yes I know I’ve only cut/paste the homepage of the website, but they’ve made the best summary….
Webjam : your own social network in a few seconds [social networking]
Webjam a UK based start up that I use to cover on Tapahont had announced a few good news this week.
Webjam is a webservice wich permits to anyone to create a website, a blog and a personnal social network without writing or knowing such a line of web langages. Easy to use, smart to play with.
First, they officialised a new founding round with i-source for 1,2 m$, then they add more template and design for events as wedding, sports groups…
At least they are ready to conquier the BtoB market.
The best way to understand what they do is this words from the official blog :
This will enable any organisation to:
- engage & empower their audience or members to achieve a specific purpose
- spread its brand values and proposition
- monetize the entire experience
The offering is pretty simple and could be summarised in the nice chart below:
- build on Webjam a branded channel dedicated to your viewers, members, or clients;
- provide them with branded templates that they can easily replicate and then customize according to their needs;
- let the community build on what it does best - publishing, discussing and sharing;
- nurture the growing community within your environment

french people doesn’t like Twitter yet [micro blogging]

Twitter is one of the major subject from blogs all over the world, in France, the twitter community has just been analysed by Twitter fact.

The analysis is really complete and we learn that twitter haven’t yet the success he knows in other european countries. There is 1 account for 10 359 people, in Netherlands there is one account for 2 800 people.
One important thing for french user, is the langague, a service needs to be in french to be used, it’s a rule.

France country of the startpages
Startpages are the only way to keep in touch with web flow. Everybody knows iGoogle or Yahoo!reader but in France, a few people thinks we need alternatives.

Netvibes is the famous one, created by Tariq Krim in 2005 (who leaved the lead 2 weeks ago) it permits anyone to concentrate mail, meteo, news and a lot of cool 2.0 services (flickR/twitter…). Netvibes Ginger, the last release offers “Univers” to users who can create a public page and add a basic social network into it. The future of netvibes is based on widget and a new Open source project called netvibes.org.

Webwag was launch a few month after Netvibes, founded by Franck Poisson, this startpage is a bit easier to use. The major axis for the future of webwag is a mobile application based on JAVA and un really smart version for iPhone.

At least, Orange Labs lauched Bubbletop, another startpage, wich run both online and on mobile phones with a social network which really easly permits to share news and infos.
In Europe, we also had Pageflakes founded in 2005 in Germany have been acquired by LiveUniverse in April.
